Love Me Tender

February 9th, 2019 St Luke's Church, Greytown

10th February, 2019 Queen Margaret College, Wellington

This concert reflected on the many ways that we, as human being, can love and be loved. I included one of my personal all time favourite pieces in this programme which is the Bach cantata commonly known as the Actus Tragicus. It's beauty, as the voices weave throughout the instrumental lines, is a pleasure to both listen to and perform, and is my choice for rainy day listening. Of course, we played several other pieces in the programme which are listed below. Please click on the player below to hear our live recording of the Telemann flute and recorder concerto which ended with a rapturous folk tune! Please come along to our July concert!
